I dunno.. not my type of horror. I don't like the villains that are just like, let's punish this girl for being "bitchy" /"slutty" /otherwise "sinful" by sticking a (penis) knife in her.
I truly loath the "We killed him OH WAIT HES STILL ALIVE" trope of most slasher movies that this movie in particular spawned. It is still incredible, and maybe the best of it's genre. Jamie Lee Curtis is flawless.
This movie is special to me. It paved the way for so many off-shoots of horror on such a low budget. Carpenter is a fucking genius and Jamie Lee Curtis...y’all know how I feel about her. The soundtrack alone is 11/10
