This movie makes me feel some kind of way about a lot of things. - Gunpowder is a radical name for a horse, dog, or college roommate. - Christina Ricci is super pretty in this - Is Casper Van Dien still working? Where'd he go? - Dressing up as Lady Van Tassel, carrying a spike-toothed skull, would be an incredible halloween costume - Christopher Walken is great even with no dialogue.
S P O O K Y A E S T H E T I C - I love the atmosphere of this movie - so Halloweeny. I love how Ichabod keeps trying to be scientific but is just thoroughly uncomfortable. Headless horseman effects are rad.
Love the nod to the Disney version - did you spot it?
Okay but why don't we put on Sleepy Hollow as a play every year in October like they do for A Christmas Carol in December. 10/10 would pay to see that.
I agree it is so so Halloween-y. It is a must-watch every year. So visually beautiful. When Christopher Walken kisses Miranda Richardson with his gross teeth i freak out every time.

ReplyDeleteHahaha, Natalie. I watched this severely hung over and thought the same thing. The aesthetic is everything in this for sure!
